Neftaly Supports SACAP Interns in Co-Creating Mental Health Policy Briefs
Cape Town, South Africa — As part of its ongoing commitment to youth development and inclusive public policy, the South African Youth Project (Neftaly) is proud to support interns from the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP) in the co-creation of mental health policy briefs aimed at driving meaningful change in South Africa.
The partnership brings together SACAP’s academically grounded interns and Neftaly’s practical policy development platform, creating an empowering space where young minds contribute to evidence-based, youth-led mental health advocacy. Through guided research, stakeholder engagement, and collaborative writing, interns gain valuable experience in policy formulation while amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities.
“This initiative is not only about building capacity but ensuring that youth perspectives inform the future of mental health policy in South Africa,” said [Insert Neftaly spokesperson name], Policy Lead at Neftaly.
The policy briefs, developed with input from mental health practitioners, community members, and government representatives, aim to address pressing issues such as youth depression, access to mental health services in rural areas, and destigmatization campaigns.
This collaboration underscores the critical role that young professionals can play
