Neftaly Equips SACAP Interns to Manage Emotional Safety Protocols
In a groundbreaking partnership aimed at empowering the next generation of social change-makers, Neftaly (South African Youth Project) has provided targeted training to SACAP (The South African College of Applied Psychology) interns, equipping them with the skills and tools to manage emotional safety protocols in real-world community settings.
This training initiative focused on enhancing the interns’ ability to identify emotional distress, de-escalate high-tension situations, and implement practical protocols to ensure psychological well-being for clients and communities. Through interactive workshops, scenario-based learning, and mentorship, SACAP interns now step into their roles with greater confidence, sensitivity, and competence.
“Creating emotionally safe environments is not just a best practice—it’s essential. With Neftaly’s training, our interns are better prepared to hold space for healing, growth, and resilience,” said a SACAP fieldwork coordinator.
This collaboration reflects Neftaly’s ongoing commitment to youth development, professional readiness, and mental health advocacy across South Africa.
